John Slonina is an award winning professional nature photographer, tour leader and writer. His goal is to reveal the phenomenal beauty of landscapes and wildlife in a dramatic artistic way and to conserve wild places and wild things. He especially likes to capture natural events such as behaviors, life cycles, and the habitats needed for survival. Through photographs, writing and teaching, John’s goal is to educate and inform as many people as possible about nature and environmental issues and to introduce them to places and animals that they may never have the opportunity to see. Since growing up exploring the New England landscape, John has spent over 30 years photographing nature, birding, kayaking, hiking, and observing wildlife. His work has been published in many books, calendars, magazines and post cards and his prints can be found in private collections and galleries throughout the world. He has over 800,000 natural history images in his files.
