Thousands of Steve Gottlieb’s images of people, places and things have been published internationally, including in most major photography publications. He has done assignments for a long list of Blue Chip clients, garnering awards such as "Advertising Photograph of the Year" in New York and Washington, DC. He is the photographer/author/designer of five acclaimed coffee-table books: American Icons; Washington: Portrait of a City; FLUSH: Celebrating Bathrooms Past & Present; Cecil County: A Personal Portrait; and Abandoned America. The latter was selected "Gift Book of the Year" by both People magazine and USA Today. Shutterbug magazine called Steve “A gifted photographer and author.” Having been interviewed on more than 30 radio and televisions stations, he’s been able to share some favorite stories with a large audience; at the Summit he will share them with you. A graduate of Columbia University College and Law School, Steve practiced environmental law, a career that generated few interesting stories, which is one reason he chose to become a photographer.
