Located in eastern Canada and almost completely surrounded by ocean, Nova Scotia is renowned for its bucolic landscapes, rugged coastlines, quaint towns and fishing villages, plus its friendly denizens. Some of the most outstanding drives in North America are found here, made all the more special because we're traveling during peak foliage season. In addition to the dramatic landscapes (including the Bay of Fundy, home to the world’s highest recorded tides), our itinerary will include native American culture, farmers’ markets, lighthouses, and Lunenburg, an explosively colorful and historic UNESCO World Heritage site. Plus we’ll spend a day listening to and photographing musicians (and others) at the Celtic Colors International Festival on Cape Breton Island (the northern section of NS). For those interested, we’ll arrange for whale watching on a chartered boat (extra charge). We will meet in Halifax on Wednesday for lunch and go from there.  Note: You'll need a passport to enter Canada.
