A four-hour class on camera functions which can stand alone or serve as a Friday afternoon tune-up that precedes the Creative Vision workshop. This mini-course covers the following: f-stops and shutter speeds; ISO selection; automatic and manual exposure readings; exposure compensation; auto and manual focus; depth of field; lens choice; and on-camera flash. Students engage in brief hands-on picture taking exercises.

Equipment: Any camera (Note: you can rent a Canon digital SLR for $25).
