One of the country’s premier arts festivals is Plein Air Easton, held on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, not far from Annapolis. Rain or shine, one hundred thirty outdoor landscape painters paint all around the town. While immersed in the creative process, they are observed by thousands of visitors (including our students). Tim's class will capture artists in the act of painting (they welcome the attention) and visitors in the act of looking…plus we will photograph the architecture and ambience of the charming and historic town of Easton. Tim brings an insider’s perspective to this event; his wife has often been one of the participating artists and he has attended many past events. Tim’s instruction and critiques focus special attention on capturing the feel of the festival with strong composition, effective use of color, and careful attention to light.
