This overview course explores ways to broaden your vision--how to see with fresh eyes--in order to create images that are more interesting, powerful and varied. As we photograph nature, people and buildings, we consider such matters as composition, lens choice, using natural light, capturing human emotions, selecting camera position, selective focus, and making foreground and background enhance the main subject.

Weather permitting, the class visits some of the following: old New Castle, DE; an abandoned fort in Delaware City, DE; Fort Delaware on an island in the Delaware River and historic Odessa, DE; locations in the immediate Chesapeake City area.

There will be a detailed critique of student photos on Sunday.
