This overview course explores ways to broaden your vision--how to see with fresh eyes--in order to create images that are more interesting, powerful and varied. As we photograph nature, people and buildings, we consider such matters as composition, lens choice, using natural light, capturing human emotions, selecting camera position, selective focus, and making foreground and background enhance the main subject. This course can serve as a useful foundation for all other Horizon courses. (For those who need a short course or refresher on the functions of your camera, Camera Basics mini-course that precedes most Creative Vision workshops on Friday afternoon would be helpful. Location: Chesapeake City, Maryland
Cost: $425.00 (Students will receive a copy of Steve's Cecil County book and a signed poster.)
Experience: None required.
Equipment: Any camera (You can rent a Canon digital SLR for $60/wknd.) Proper footwear for casual walking in woods.
Optional Equipment: Laptop with image downloading program.
