Web Marketing for Visual Artists
The internet has become the most important marketing tool for photographers and other visual artists. This workshop explains the keys to designing and building a powerful web site that displays your work effectively and attracts clients. The workshop is broken down into two separate one-day courses.
Day One: 1. an overview of the process of building a web site; 2. designing the architecture, layout, navigation, and flow of the site, including use of templates vs. custom design; 3. technical aspects of preparing your photos for the web; and 4. how different web browsers alter the display of your photos and web site.
Day Two: using your site for effective marketing, including choosing the most effective search term(s); search engine placement; paid web advertising; the use of analytical tools to enhance the reach of your site; and the use of web optimizers.
