HARVEY STEIN is a photographer, teacher, lecturer, and author based in New York City. He has published four books of photographs: Parallels: A Look at Twins ; Artists Observed; Coney Island; and Movimento: Glimpses of Italian Street Life. Stein has been widely published in magazines including The New Yorker, Time, Life, Esquire, American Heritage, Smithsonian, Reader's Digest, Glamour, Forbes, Playboy, and People, as well as every major photo magazine. Recipient of numerous fellowships and grants, Stein has had 66 one-person exhibits in the U.S. and Europe, and his work is in scores of public and private collections around the world. His work is represented by the Silverstein, Throckmorton and Bateman Galleries.
