Steve Gottlieb & Diane Shapiro - "South Dakota Badlands"


Steve Gottlieb's photography includes landscapes, animals, architecture and people. His images have been recognized with such awards as "Advertising Photograph of the Year" in both NYC and Washington, DC. He is the photographer (as well as author and designer) of five books, including American Icons, Washington: Portrait of a City and Abandoned America. Abandoned America was selected by both People Magazine and USA Today as a "2002 Gift Book of the Year." Steve has been designated as one of a half-dozen "Kodak Professional Icons" in the U.S. A graduate of Columbia Law School, Steve practiced law for a decade before turning his life-long hobby into his vocation. Diane Shapiro has been involved in marketing images—her own and those of other photographers—for nearly three decades. She served as Photo Library Director for The Image Bank, the largest, most prestigious, stock photography agency in the world at the time, and later managed the Wildlife Conservation Society's Photo Library based at the Bronx Zoo. Diane's images has been published in newspapers, magazines, calendars, greeting cards, books and assorted photo products. Her work is represented by Peter Arnold, Inc., a distinguished stock agency that specializes in wildlife and nature imagery. Through her company, image insight, Diane offers one-on-one marketing consultation to photographers at all levels of ability and experience.
