Abandoned subjects are a particular passion for Steve Gottlieb. His book, Abandoned America, received many honors, including: "Gift Book of the Year" from People magazine and USA Today, and "Best in Show" at the Chicago Book and Media Fair. Shutterbug and Rangefinder magazines had feature stories about Steve and his love of things abandoned. Steve founded Horizon Photography Workshops in 2005. He teaches classes on Flash Magic and Creative Vision among others.
