Steve Gottlieb has been photographing Washington's architecture, people, parks and activities for over twenty-five years. He has produced two books of DC photographs. Reviewing his 2004 book, Washington: Portrait of a City, Shutterbug magazine said: "Gifted author and photographer Steve Gottlieb has crafted yet another inspired book." The Washington Post stated: Gottlieb shows Washington in a different light....His images of Washington are all his own." Another of Steve's books, Abandoned America, was selected by both People Magazine and USA Today as "2002 Gift Book of the Year." Steve has been designated as one of a half-dozen "Kodak Professional Icons" in the U.S. After graduating from Columbia College and Law School, Steve practiced law for a decade, mostly in Washington, before turning his life-long hobby into his vocation.
